... and so the story begins. This is sort of a combination "just for fun"
and "yet to be filed" page. Click on the thumbnails below to see the projects

Poodle Mobile was made in
response to a series of postings at Stephanie's PI Message Board depicting
people's pets driving around in comic vehicles. A couple disparaging remarks
had been made about poodles in some of the posts, so in jest, I brought a
longtime companion from my past, St. Jean de Monique, to the defense. Beware
of the Bubble Cat was an accident for the most part. I was trying to
superimpose the face of another former pet, Sebastian, over a lion head door
knocker, but I wasn't pleased with the results. I started playing around
with some of PhotoImpact's bubble effects ... and wallah! Some have
described this graphic as a fish eye's view of a menacing cat.

The first graphic below is the result of working on
Stephanie's tutorials for making thin lines typically associated with television
screens. The background is a photo I took on Palomar Mountain a few years
ago -- and no, I can assure you that there are no tigers there. The one pictured
here is from a photo taken at the Detroit Zoo decades ago. The other graphic,
Party Animal, features another animal from my Detroit Zoo collection
and uses a photo of a former residence for the background.

The first graphic below consists simply of several puffballs
I made as PhotoImpact Objects. I really had no idea of what to do
with them -- although I do think they were used effectively in the
background of the second picture. Anyone have other ideas?
